Inverse opal structures using colloidal crystals arranged by a self-organization process as a template have unique optical properties derived from their periodic nanostructure, and light can be controlled by the size of the structure. In this study, aiming to further improve detection sensitivity, we attempted to fabricate a multilayer inverse opal structure using PS sphere multilayer colloidal crystals as a template, and compared it with single-layer and thin-film samples.
