Self-propelled ion gel is an ion gel consisting of EMIM-TFSI and Poly(VDF-co-HFP) that moves autonomously on the water surface. We reported that the ion gels move randomly without interacting with other gels in this system. Thus, this can be a model experimental system for gas molecule kinetics. In this study, we report the results of controlling the distribution of two ion gel particles in a two-chamber using an electric shutter controlled by image recognition.
