Li(BH4)1-xIx, in which [BH4]- is partially substituted with I-, exhibits high Li+ conductivity and is a promising solid electrolyte for all-solid-state batteries. In this study, LiBH4/LiI multilayer films were fabricated by infrared laser deposition, followed by annealing to promote iodine diffusion and achieve film formation. The resulting films had a composition of x ≈ 0.23, exhibited a phase transition to the high-temperature phase, and showed a Li+ conductivity of 2.6 × 10-4 S cm-1 at room temperature.
