This presentation reports on the second-harmonic generation behavior of a hybrid structure consisting of an NLO polymer film and a one-dimensional array of Au nanoprisms.
Periodically arranged metal nanoparticles exhibit surface lattice resonance (SLR) effects that enhance the several light-matter interactions. The present study demonstrated that the SLR effect significantly enhances the SHG conversion efficiency of the NLO polymer. The SHG signal enhancement factor due to the NLO polymer is as large as 90 compared to the bare Au nanoprism array.
