The synthesis method for chiral plasmonic nanoparticles using circularly polarized light (CPL) has attracted much attention because it does not require chiral molecules. We succeeded in synthesizing colloidal chiral gold nanorods covered with silver by under CPL irradiation. However, to achieve higher functionality, it is necessary to hybridize plasmonic nanoparticles with not only silver but also other materials. In this study, we will report that chiral growth of manganese oxide on colloidal gold nanorods under CPL irradiation.
