The operation of a current sensor based on heteroepitaxial CVD diamond up to ±1020 A was verified. The circuit system was made compact and portable by lock-in modulation with switching between microwave signal generators. Sensors consisting of a heteroepi layer and a high-density NV layer, each 150 µm thick, were bonded to the fiber end and secured to the bus bar; ODMR spectra showed a preferential orientation to (111). The change in resonance frequency difference was confirmed to follow the input current.
