The FF-MOD method, one of the RE123 thin film fabrication methods, is the most suitable for mass production because the formation of the RE123 phase is very fast and it can be fabricated using only a simple sintering apparatus under ambient pressure. However, it has a few effective pinning centers and low Jc in magnetic field. In RE123 using light rare earths, RE is easily partially substituted into the Ba site, and if the substitution is small, the vicinity of the substitution site becomes a point defect-like pinning center, which improves Jc. In this study, Y123 thin films with Y partially substituted with Nd or La were prepared and their physical properties were investigated.
