We are interested in multiplex-CARS spectroscopy, a technique that measures broad vibrational
spectra using ultrashort laser pulses. Ideally, the spectral phase of the incident broadband light
would be flat. However, due to various dispersive media in the optical path, this is not the case. In
this study, we used a pulse shaper to divide the frequency components of the optical pulse spatially
and modulate their phase individually using a spatial light modulator (SLM). We verified the
controlled phase by taking cross-correlation measurements of the temporal waveforms and the
non-resonant background spectrum of the CARS process in the sample medium.
