In recent years, perovskite solar cells, which offer excellent performance at low cost, have attracted significant attention. However, further improvements in device stability are required for practical applications. One method reported to enhance the stability of solar cells involves modifying the interface between the perovskite and the charge transport layer using PEAI (phenylethylammonium iodide). However, the mechanism by which PEAI improves performance through interface modification has not yet been fully elucidated. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the charge behavior within perovskite solar cells using electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy and clarified the effects of PEAI on the interfacial charge states.
