High melting temperature Nd-doped Lu2O3 single crystals (ρ = 9.4 g/cm³) showing near-infrared emission have demonstrated a favorable signal-to-noise ratio even under high-dose-rate condition ( ~1 kGy/h). In this study, to further enhance these advantageous properties, Lu2O3 single crystals with identical host composition were grown with various Nd concentrations, and detailed characterization was conducted to elucidate the factors contributing to the enhancement of near-infrared emission intensity.
