In this study, we investigated the production of formic acid, a CO2 reduction product when THF-CO2 hydrate was irradiated with DBD. Experiments were performed by changing the DBD irradiation time and frequency, and the amount of formic acid produced increased with these increases, up to 0.56 mg for 2 g of hydrate. In addition, when 0.2 g of tin powder was added to the hydrate as a reduction catalyst and DBD irradiation was performed, the amount of formic acid produced increased by 2.4 times.
