Recent technological advances in quantum chemistry and organic synthesis methods have made it possible to design and synthesize organic molecules with a variety of quantum structures. Individual organic molecules consisting of unique electronic structures are regarded as functional elements, and it is expected that they will function as organic molecular devices through 2- and 3-dimensional structuring and organization of their assemblies. In the case of organic molecules, which are chemically bonded with multiple atoms in a variety of bonding modes, they show many structural polymorphisms due to intramolecular rotational degrees of freedom (secondary structure) and aggregation structure/molecular orientation (tertiary structure), in addition to the primary structure derived from the chemical structure. Therefore, precise control of the first- to third-order structure is important for the expression of functions and efficiency of organic molecules. In this study, I would like to introduce thin film structures of polar molecules with large dipole moments, molecular orientation, and functional expression by controlling polarization.
