In systems that use hydrogen obtained from renewable energy sources to generate electricity in fuel cells, the use of hydrogen and heat has been demonstrated up until now, but this system not only generates electricity and uses heat from hydrogen, but also uses up the oxygen obtained as a by-product of water electrolysis and the waste heat generated during water electrolysis. This system has been installed at an onshore fish farm on Iki Island in Nagasaki Prefecture, and experimental research is being carried out. Additionally, they are currently planning to utilize these results to conduct demonstration studies at hospitals.
