The structural and optical properties of the double perovskite semiconductors Cs2NaFeCl6 and Cs2AgFeCl6 were investigated under high pressure. Powder X-ray diffraction, optical absorption, and Raman scattering measurements were performed using a diamond anvil cell (DAC). No structural phase transition was observed in Cs2NaFeCl6 up to 20 GPa, and it was experimentally demonstrated that 78% of the temperature-induced bandgap change originates from thermal excitation. Furthermore, the pressure-induced changes in the crystal structure and lattice vibrations of Cs2AgFeCl6 were also examined.
