We are attempting to control reactions by intentionally controlling the timing of light through pulsed light sources, aiming to create "smart photoreactions." We have already found that yields and product ratios change depending on the frequency, even when the total light intensity is the same. In this presentation, we will report our findings on observing the reaction behaviour by measuring the transient absorption spectroscopy in an environment as close to an actual reaction as possible, in order to elucidate the details of the mechanism and reveal the significance of controlling the timing of light.
