Mass spectrometry imaging
We have developed tapping-mode scanning probe electrospray ionization (t-SPESI), which extracts and ionizes sample components using an oscillating quartz capillary probe and a small amount of solvent, and have applied it to mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) of biological tissues. However, during long-term measurements, temporal fluctuations in the oscillation phase and amplitude of the probe have been observed. In this study, we introduced a dual-feedback control system and evaluated its effectiveness in long-term MSI.
