Spiro-OMeTAD is commonly used as a hole transport layer in perovskite solar cells; however, due to its low durability, there is growing interest in using π-conjugated polymers as alternative materials. In previous studies, the use of poly(3-hexylthiophene) resulted in improved durability compared to devices using Spiro-OMeTAD, but the power conversion efficiency decreased. In this study, with the aim of improving power generation properties, we synthesized and evaluated the properties of poly[3-(4-phosphonobutyl) thiophene]-b-poly(3-hexylthiophene) which possess self-doping ability due to the presence of phosphonate groups at the ends of its side chains.
