We investigate quantum-mimetic OCT based on spectral intensity interferometry, a technique that classically reproduces axial resolution improvement and immunity to group-velocity dispersion inherent to entangled-photon-based schemes. A practical and highly stable optical setup is constructed, and the optimal implementation of signal processing is examined. Experiments using a mirror sample demonstrate that the application of a previously proposed artifact-reduction method effectively suppresses noise. Furthermore, we clarify a parameter-selection strategy that avoids degradation of axial resolution when applying the artifact-reduction method.
