In this study, we developed a method for analyzing the molecular orientation of the organic semiconductor polymer P3HT using polarized microscopic Raman spectroscopy with a liquid crystal Z-polarization element. By using azimuthal and radial polarization, we evaluated the Z-polarization component of the optical system from graphene measurements, and then calculated the orientation angles by comparing simulations using Gaussian16 and Physon with experimental results. As a result, we found that the P3HT crystals had orientation angles concentrated around 0–15°, with an edge-on orientation being dominant. This mostly aligns with previous studies, demonstrating the effectiveness of our method.
