Compositionally-graded Ru:LSMO thin films with a linear Ru concentration varying from 0% at the substrate to 10% at the surface were fabricated on LSAT(001), and their spin dynamics were investigated by CPW-FMR. Unlike hetero-bilayer films, the graded film exhibited a single FMR mode indicative of exchange-coupled collective spin precession. The effective damping constants extracted from the frequency dependence of the linewidth were enhanced in the in-plane field configuration and markedly suppressed in the out-of-plane configuration, with an in-plane/out-of-plane ratio reaching approximately 39. These results demonstrate that the depth-dependent magnetic profile governs the dynamic relaxation of the entire film.
