The addition of ZnO to oxide glasses is known to improve glass-forming ability and provide a means of tailoring physical properties. However, the structural role of ZnO in glass networks and its relationship to solubility limits, composition, and properties remain poorly understood. In this study, the composition–structure relationship in ZnO-containing soda–lime glass was investigated using a high-throughput micro-melting method that enables the simultaneous fabrication and characterization of multiple samples on a single substrate, together with multivariate analysis of spectroscopic data.
