In this study, we developed an automated measurement system that combines electrochemical measurements with the DPD spectrophotometric method for the evaluation of total residual chlorine. After LSV measurements, DPD absorbance measurements were performed to obtain paired data of electrochemical responses and free and total chlorine concentrations. The LSV curve shape was found to vary depending on the chlorine species, and the DPD absorbance increased with increasing free chlorine concentration. These results suggest the potential of the developed measurement system for quantitatively tracking concentration changes.
