We investigated the optical reflectance properties of micro particles applied to skin spots and moles using a Monte Carlo method that accounts for multiple scattering within a surface particle layer. The effects of spot shape, particle diameter, and particle volume fraction on concealing performance were evaluated. Particles with diameters around 0.2 µm enhanced short-wavelength visible-light reflection, thereby reducing blemish redness and providing the greatest concealing effect among the particle diameters examined at a fixed particle volume fraction.
