Beam switching laser diodes in which desired resonator modes are selectively excited have been fabricated and tested so far. In this work, I propose a design of two-dimensional laser cavity in which output beam direction and polarization can be switched simultaneously. I discuss the feasibility of the switching operation based on the mode analysis based on the finite element method.
