At our school, the formulation of research questions (RQs) is regarded as a central component of inquiry-based learning. Students are encouraged to develop and refine their RQs through activities such as generating seed-oriented questions, abductive reasoning, and setting research objectives. They continuously revise their questions from the perspectives of observability and novelty, thereby improving the quality of their RQs. This presentation introduces the educational framework underlying this approach and presents practical examples of its implementation. It also discusses the development of RQ formulation skills across secondary education, from junior high school through high school.
