Rare-earth-doped glasses are widely applied as optical materials; however, concentration quenching and crystallization pose significant challenges at high doping concentrations. To address these issues, this study employed a levitation technique to fabricate glasses doped with Eu3+ or Er3+ as luminescent centers in a glass system exhibiting high rare-earth solubility. As a result, we successfully achieved vitrification even for compositions that crystallize via conventional methods, and confirmed that concentration quenching was substantially suppressed even at extremely high doping concentrations.
