High-sensitivity quantum magnetometry using nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond often requires a homogeneous bias magnetic field. Although conventional double-sided configurations provide a homogeneous field, they prevent one from placing the magnetometer close to the target object. In this study, we designed a single-sided magnet arrangement that forms a saddle point in the magnetic field profile, enabling a homogeneous bias magnetic field within the diamond. This configuration will facilitate the realization of highly sensitive and versatile quantum magnetometer probes.
