XAFS

Until now, X-ray absorption spectroscopy has been performed using synchrotron radiation facilities, which provide tunable, high-brightness X-rays. In recent years, by creating microstructures for the targets of X-ray sources in laboratory equipment, it has become possible to generate high-brightness X-rays with selectable energy levels, enabling coverage across a wide energy range. This presentation will report on an X-ray absorption spectrometer developed for laboratory use. Also, we will report on battery materials, catalysts, the results of fluorescence XAS measurements, and examples of in operando measurements.
