With growing concern over marine pollution caused by plastics, the development of biodegradable materials has become increasingly important. In this study, casein, a biomass resource attracting attention due to increasing milk waste, was investigated. Although casein, which accounts for approximately 80% of milk proteins, has traditionally been used as a hard plastic material, its applications remain limited. Therefore, the fabrication conditions of soft transparent casein films and their properties were optimized and evaluated.
