In this study, we constructed a numerical model of a nested-cavity Er-fiber ring laser using a carbon nanotube saturable absorber (CNT-SA) and investigated the possibility of harmonic mode-locking. The sub-cavity was modeled as a temporal selection element that feeds back part of the light extracted from the main cavity with a controlled delay. When the sub-cavity delay was set to satisfy the harmonic condition, equally spaced multiple pulses were formed within one round trip of the main cavity. Corresponding harmonic components were also observed in the RF spectrum, indicating the possibility of pulse-number selection by controlling the sub-cavity delay.
