SnS is a two-dimensional material exhibiting strong in-plane optical anisotropy; however, the reported energies of the critical points E1 and E2 associated with direct optical transitions show significant discrepancies. In this study, polarization-resolved photoreflectance spectroscopy was applied to SnS for the first time. By separating the signals originating from each critical point, the direct transition energies of E1 and E2, as well as their temperature dependences, were determined with high precision.
