We observed the circular-polarization dependence of the Raman scattering intensity of phonons in the ferroaxial material CoTiO3. This phenomenon is referred to as Raman optical activity (ROA). The magnitude of ROA in CoTiO3 is remarkably large, similar to that reported in another ferroaxial material. It is also two orders of magnitude larger than typical values observed in chiral materials.
