We introduced a SAP58 peptide tag into ferritin and investigated sample preparation conditions toward the formation of magnetic nanoparticle arrays. The target protein was expressed and suggested to be present in the soluble fraction. We report its soluble expression, purification-condition screening, and future strategies for sample preparation.
