To clarify the crystal structures in micro-regions of various materials, a CT-Guided XRD system combining synchrotron radiation micro X-ray CT and pencil-beam X-ray diffraction was constructed at SAGA-LS BL07. As a result of trial measurements on a mixed sample of methane hydrate (MH) and ice, we succeeded in irradiating the respective regions of MH and ice based on the reconstructed 3D image and acquiring the diffraction X-ray images characteristic of each substance.
