The operating bandwidth limitation of optical elements poses a challenge for generating terahertz optical vortex. In three-dimensional metallic cross structures arranged in a circular arrangement, in which the lower rod is stacked with an azimuthal rotation relative to the upper rod, the chirality is spatially modulated. In a crossed Nicols configuration, the Pancharatnam・Berry(PB) phase difference is expected to enable frequency-independent terahertz optical vortex generation. In this presentation, we quantitatively evaluate the chirality of metasurfaces and report the possibility of terahertz optical vortex generation.
