Carbon nanotubes,Electromagnetic wave-absorbing material
The advancement of communications in the aerospace and mobility sectors, along with the development of 5G-compatible mobile electronic devices, has created a demand for lightweight radio wave absorbers capable of handling wide bandwidths. In this study, we developed an ultra-lightweight electromagnetic wave absorber by applying an insulating coating to carbon nanotubes. By suppressing electromagnetic wave reflection while utilizing a combination of conductive and dielectric loss mechanisms, we achieved high electromagnetic wave absorption performance in the low GHz band using a material with a density of 10 mg/cm³.
