Low-temperature atmospheric pressure plasma has promising medical applications; however, quantitative evaluation of short-lived reactive oxygen species (ROS) remains unclear. In this study, methylene blue (MB) and indigo carmine (IC) aqueous solutions, which decolorize upon reaction with short-lived ROS, were used to estimate the ROS supply from plasma based on changes in absorbance. We confirmed a strong correlation between ESR and MB measurements. In further investigation, we will evaluate short-lived ROS through comparison of MB and IC decomposition.
