Enhanced electric fields originating from plasmon resonance in periodic nanostructures hold great potential for sensitive molecular detection probes. Here, we investigated the correlation between internal plasmon resonance and 3D structual order using DNA-functionalized nanoparticle superlattices. Through surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) measurements and theoretical calculations, we demonstrated that preserving structural order in superlattices leads to stronger electric field enhancement.
