In recent years, LEDs utilizing quantum dots (QDs) have seen remarkable development. However, further advancements require measurement systems to evaluate the internal state and operating processes of these devices. We are currently conducting evaluations of the device's internal structure using device-modulated absorption spectroscopy (BMA), which measures changes in transmitted light intensity when a bias is applied to the device. When a voltage is applied to an LED or other device, in addition to carrier injection, a Stark signal associated with changes in the electric field within the device appears in the BMA signal. We expect this signal to be useful in evaluating the electric field environment within the device. Therefore, this research aims to elucidate the electric field environment within electron-only QDs (EODs) using BMA spectroscopy.
