Eclipsed-type alternately stacked charge-transfer complexes form a conformation where molecules completely overlap due to attractive intermolecular interactions, and are expected to exhibit favorable transistor characteristics owing to large transfer integrals. In this study, eclipsed-type complexes were developed using N-TMB as the donor, and BA or FA as the acceptor. The fabricated (N-TMB)(BA) thin-film transistors operated as p-type semiconductors under vacuum, showing a mobility of 4.9 x 10-2 cm2/Vs.
