In quantum cascade structures, the emission and detection wavelengths can be engineered by adjusting the well and barrier widths. In this study, we focus on the wavelength mismatch between the optical gain under biased operation and the optical absorption under zero bias. By optimizing the quantum well structure, it is shown that the absorption at the emission wavelength under zero-bias conditions can be enhanced by approximately 1.5 times, while maintaining the emission wavelength.
