In this study, we applied an optical vortex coronagraph to Brillouin scattering spectroscopy, aiming to efficiently separate weak Brillouin scattered light from strong Rayleigh scattered light. We constructed an optical system combining a VIPA and an optical vortex coronagraph, and evaluated the spatial separation characteristics and extinction rate due to the frequency shift. As a result, we were able to separate light with a frequency difference of 15 GHz, and achieved a maximum extinction rate of approximately 97.4% at 12 GHz frequency modulation.
