The realization of human habitation on the Moon requires stable food production under low-gravity conditions. In this study, microgravity and lunar gravity are simulated using a 3D clinostat, and their effects on hypocotyl elongation and gravitropism in Arabidopsis thaliana are evaluated. In addition, dinitrogen pentoxide synthesized by atmospheric-pressure air plasma is applied to assess its effects on these growth characteristics. The results are reported, and the potential of plasma-based technologies for lunar agricultural systems is discussed.
