To realize large-scale fault-tolerant quantum computers, it is essential not only to improve hardware performance but also to lower the required device specifications through design optimization via theoretical research. The Moonshot Goal 6 Theory and Software Project aims to contribute from this perspective and is promoting research and development from diverse angles. In this presentation, I will introduce the achievements resulting from these efforts, as well as the construction of development tools designed to accelerate research and development.
