In this study, we analyzed the effects of structural asymmetry in the light incident direction and substrate material absorption on optical absorption based on degenerate critical coupling in the near- and mid-infrared wavelength bands using Si and Ge metasurface structures.We found that by using transparent substrates such as SiNx, optical absorption of approximately 80% can be achieved in the near- and mid-infrared wavelength bands.
