[15p-PA2-7]InP/EO Polymer Hybrid Optical Modulator Utilizing Photonic Crystal Structure with Broad Bandwidth Electrode Structure

We conducted simulation analyses on the effects of photonic crystal (PC) lattice structures (square lattice and triangular lattice) applied to InP/EO polymer hybrid modulators (IPH modulators) in terms of suppressing optical loss and their impact on the wavelength band. As a result, significant changes in transmitted light intensity depending on the wavelength were observed in the case of the square lattice. Additionally, simulations were performed on the electrode structures of split-type electrodes, and the frequency band dependence of the power transmission rate was analyzed.
