Split-ring resonators are electromagnetic resonators used as components in electromagnetic metamaterials. Recently, metasurfaces utilizing these split-ring resonators have attracted significant attention. To realize such metasurfaces, the electromagnetic interactions between closely spaced SRRs become crucial. In this study, a three-layer varactor-loaded split-ring resonator (VLSRR) structure was fabricated. The electromagnetic wave reflection characteristics and the electromagnetic interactions, both dependent on the interlayer distance, were investigated.
