It has been reported that second-harmonic generation occurs in metasurfaces formed by two-dimensional arrays of single-gap split-ring resonators, a type of meta-atom constituting metamaterials. By films and stacking this metasurface, a larger SH output is expected to be obtained. In this study, we assumed a film containing a single-gap SRRs and developed a computational method to determine the SH wave output spectrum in a stacked structure containing such films and conducted simulations based on this method.
