We investigated the ultrafast magnetization dynamics of ferrimagnetic Mn4N thin films with low saturation magnetization and strong perpendicular magnetic anisotropy, using the time-resolved magneto-optical Kerr effect. Two oscillatory modes were observed upon optical excitation, with precession frequencies depending on the magnetic field direction and pump intensity. These results of angular dependence and frequency analysis provide fundamental insights into the excitation mechanisms and effective magnetic anisotropy influenced by the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy in Mn4N.
