All-optical switching (AOS) has attracted significant attention due to its potential for optical control of magnetization. However, the range of materials reported to exhibit this phenomenon has remained limited. In this presentation, we report on the fabrication and evaluation of Bi,Ga-substituted magnetic garnet thin films in which HD-AOS was realized.
